“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” Proverbs 15:3

                                          Principals Corner

This week I was thinking about pray and how it can and does affect and change our lives.  Many of you know that a few months ago my brother Dave suffered a heart attack and a stroke with in an hour of each other. He was taken to the hospital and was told that he would never see again and that his right side would never be usable.  My brother said that was not good for him and he told the doctors that he would pray and ask God to change thing no matter what the doctors said.  The doctors said that it would take a miracle for him to recover from his heart attack and his stroke.  The next morning when his doctors came in to check on him he look at the doctor and told him the time the clock said on the wall across the room.  His doctors could not explain what happened and after more test they could not find any reason for his sight to be restored.  Dave told them that he had prayed and God answered his prayers.  Dave is now living in his own house and doing wonderful.
Fifteen-year-old Peter knelt to pray. “Dear heavenly Father, bless my family….”  Outside his bedroom window police sirens filled the less than silent night.  He could hear the shouts of neighbors, the wail of Mrs. Burns’s colicky infant in the apartment in ghetto U.S.A.
Eleven-year-old Pierre knelt to pray.  “Dear heavenly Father,” he whispered in French, his father’s native tongue.  “Please watch over my family through the night….”
The walls shook as government forces bombarded the rebel stronghold.   Pierre prayed for his father, hiding in the hills behind the small Central African village. Thirteen-year-old Pedro’s stomach growled as he knelt to pray within the adobe walls of his parents’ home in northern Mexico.  “Dear heavenly Father, please be with my family tonight.”  The few spoonfuls of rice and beans he’d eaten that day couldn’t stop his hunger pangs.  His heart ached for his 5-year-old sister whimpering on the mat on the other side of the room.
Three Peters; three prayers; three different parts of the world.  No wall, no enemy, no situation, can stop them from reaching God.
Keep praying for our students and staff.
